Our team had an incredible time at the SCTE Expo, where leaders from across the broadband, telecom, and cable industries gathered to discuss the future of connectivity. The energy was electric — and so was the passion for sustainability.

While you’re pulling out your Halloween decorations this weekend, don’t forget to stop by the Repair Café — happening Saturday, October 11, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 60 College view Rd, Westerville, OH.

You don’t have to be a Westerville resident to attend — everyone is welcome! Bring in up to two repairable (or possibly repairable) items, and our team of skilled volunteers will work with you to see if they can be fixed. Think of it as a hands-on learning experience where you’ll pick up new repair skills and meet some great people along the way.

Here’s what to know before you come:

Please arrive before 11:30 AM so there’s enough time to evaluate and repair your items.

This is a walk-in event, not a drop-off.

Pull up a chair, join the conversation, and enjoy the collaborative energy.

If you think your item needs a small part (like a battery, button, or power cord), bring it with you — though Roush Hardware at 609 South State Street is conveniently nearby if you need supplies.

Some repairs might not be possible on-site, but our “experts” can guide you on next steps or safe recycling options.

☕ Coffee &🍩 donuts will be generously provided by Sustainable Westerville, and 🎶 live music from Hara Tawahally and The Castros will set the perfect community vibe.

Plus, the Westerville Public Library will be there sharing info about their Tool Library — a great resource for anyone who loves to fix and create.

AVAY will be there, helping collect electronics for recycling, so bring any old gadgets or devices you’re ready to part with. It’s a great way to declutter responsibly while supporting a cleaner, more sustainable community.
